Do you have an entertaining story to tell? Come share what brought you to Durango and what keeps you here. Maybe you came here on a whim, or maybe it was planned. Maybe Durango’s natural beauty lured you here, its history, or maybe a turn in the road changed your direction. You stayed. Roots grew and now you are part of a town full of creative, driven, whimsical, and hard-working people that make our place unique.
Step up to the microphone. The educators at Durango Montessori we would like to get tellers of all ages, from all over Durango, involved in appreciating the importance of community connections through storytelling. Please help us in sharing the value of a good story.
Step into the Light: Durango Stories
• 5-10 minute stories told on a stage
• Two categories of telling presented at two different show times:
•Child-level: 5:00pm Students from Durango Montessori, and other area elementary, middle, and high schools. Stories are geared to a kid-friendly audience.
•Adult-level: 7:30pm Stories geared toward the adult audience. Tellers can include high school and college students, millennials, Gen X, Gen Y, Gen Z☺ and everyone else.
